Accessibility statement

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA on this site. Accessibility is an ongoing effort, not a finished box, and we treat any barrier you hit as a bug worth fixing.

What we have built in

• Semantic HTML with proper landmarks and headings, and a skip link to jump straight to the main content.
• Full keyboard operation, with a visible focus ring on every link, button and form field.
• Colour contrast checked to meet AA for text and interface elements, in both the light and dark palettes.
• Motion that respects your system setting: if you ask for reduced motion, animations collapse to a short fade or are removed.
• Content that is fully readable without JavaScript. The animations are enhancements, and nothing is hidden behind them.
• Text that reflows and stays legible when you zoom or use a small screen, with decorative document graphics hidden from screen readers so they are not read aloud as noise.

Known limitations

This is a pre-launch marketing site, and it is honest about where it is not yet perfect.

• Some record and passport graphics use a machine-readable-zone style that is decorative. It is hidden from assistive technology on purpose, so a screen reader is never asked to read a strip of placeholder characters.
• The animated set-pieces are visual flourishes only. The information they illustrate is also stated in plain text nearby.
• We have not yet commissioned a formal third-party accessibility audit. We test with keyboard navigation, screen readers and contrast tooling as we build, and will seek an external review as the product matures.
